A SACRED PLACE TO DWELL

Lord, once again I thank You

For this day of Sabbath rest,

Gathering with your followers,

Worshipping You at Your behest.

You are faithful to those who love You

And obey the commandments You give.

Your Word is our blueprint for happiness,

And it teaches us how to live.

Your commandments show Your character,

And You teach through Christ’s example.

You give us purpose to be righteous

That our souls will not be trampled.

You’ve given atonement for our sin

And have taken it all away.

You have covered our sinful nature

So in Your Company we can stay.

We must make room for Your sacred presence,

A place where You can dwell.

That our hearts are the destination

Of  Your love that never quells.

Thank You God for the commandments You have given us to follow.

Thank You for covering our sin nature.

Thank You for Your love.
