…How “VISIONS OF POETRY” came to be…
 
If you are reading these words in my “ABOUT” section then you are reading a desire fulfilled!  It has been my dream to have a blog and share my Poetry, Inspirations, Songs (words only), Heart Sounds, and my love for life through God’s miraculous world of art.  And now is the time!  I am embarking on a wonderful journey cross country and I would love to take  you with me through these posts on my new Web Blog, “Visions of Poetry”.
 
Poetry lives within me.  I so enjoy writing at least one poem daily and would love to share some of my poetry with you in these pages.          
As I travel around the country I will share with you the visions of poetry through my eyes, through the lens of my camera, my thoughts, my love for the Lord, through scripture, and through Gods beautiful creation. God’s spectacular art surrounds us if we would just  open the eyes of our heart to see it.  I hope you will begin this journey with me.  I haven’ t left my driveway yet, and I am beginning to realize that one of the most difficult parts  of this journey is preparing to go.  Oh my!  What preparation it takes.
 
Come on, get behind the wheel with me and see what I see and go where I go.  You’ll have to get in the back seat however because Jesus will be in the front seat with me!

                                                                                                          IMPORTANT NOTICE

After I wrote the above a few things have transpired in regards to leaving on my designated date of February 27, 2015.  It did not happen!  The event that has come up has changed my trip considerably but, Lord willing, I will be leaving in the near future.  I will indeed be going on a journey but it will be a bit of a different kind of journey.  On February 11th I discovered a painful lump in my breast.  A visit to my primary Doctor the  next day confirmed it.  The following week a mammogram and an ultra sound confirmed that I have two masses growing in my right breast.  My first visit with the breast surgeon was Monday Feb 23rd.  On Thursday the 26th I had a needle biopsy.  On Monday March 2nd I have another scheduled appointment with the surgeon to find out whether the lumps are benign or malignant.  My surgery is scheduled for Tuesday March 10th.  Either benign or malignant they must come out!  So….my date of leaving my driveway will be postponed until after my recovery.  I am hoping it will be by the end of March depending on results of the biopsy.  And so… the journey I begin will not be on the road until a later date.  Please follow this blog (as I do not go on Facebook) if you are interested in following this journey of healing with me.  I will send an email when I have new information posted.
 
I look forward to the start of my road trip but in the meantime I have new joy each morning as I rejoice in the day that the Lord has made!  Be not saddened with this news for I know the plans the Lord has for me are good!
