The Father’s will
Is the place I want to be.
By staying in His presence
I am truly free.
I pray that my desires
Are to do as God sees fit.
Because when I am in His will
The fire in me is lit!
Whatever plans I make
Must be with God in mind,
His plan for me is good
And peace and joy is what I find.
So even when I’m disappointed
And things don’t go as I planned
The moment I live is right now
And my joy is never unmanned.
God is who I lean upon,
He is my counselor and my guide.
And even when my days are changed
God is always by my side.
Dave and I had hoped to drive down to Arkansas to attend my Aunt Esther’s funeral but we were informed the funeral will be on Saturday, August 19th. We know that it would be impossible for us to prepare, pack, and then drive the 800 miles in such a short time. So we have decided to not attend the funeral. There was a moment of heartbreak for me knowing I would not be there to celebrate her life but I decided that instead of feeling grief, I would allow God to fill my heart with joy because I know that Esther Ruth Carter is no longer housed within her frail body. She is now rejoicing with the Savior she loved.
And so I pray that everyday God will take control of my life and guide and direct me through each hour. I take this change of plans as God’s direction and will for our lives at this time.
Galatians 4: 13-15 NIV
13 Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”
Thank You God that You have a plan for my life.
Thank You God for each and every day that I live in You.
Thank You Lord that I will know my family when I arrive in heaven and that there will be so many of my loved ones waiting to welcome me into Your presence.
Thank You Lord that I need not ever fear death.
Thank You Lord for calling Aunt Esther home.
Have an awesome day!
GOD BLESS YOU!
