THE BEAUTY OF IMPERFECTION

It is wise

      to listen

            to the heart of God…

For it is God

      we

            need to hear.

In His perfection

      the Son endured pain,

            and died on the cross

                  so that we would be free.

Even though we are imperfect

      Jesus died

            for you,

                  and He died

            for me.

And our hearts

      are changed by God,

      even through life’s storms that rage.

Life is perilous

      and earth’s tomorrows

            fraught with chaos.

 When life is lived

      in the will of the Father

            there is no safer…

                  or more pleasant place to be!

We  are like the jewel from the sea;

      a pearl of great worth!

But regardless

      how perfect 

            the pearl may seem to be…

      each pearl has

            a unique flaw,

                  just like the children of God.

AND GOD STILL LOVES US ALL!

This poem was inspired by this morning’s sermon at church.

Thank You God for all the great fellowship I have had these past two weeks with Lana and her friends.
