My mind is racing

A mile a minute.

As if in a race

And just can’t win it.

Going in circles

Comes to mind,

But more like scattered

Is what I find.

Lots to do

And all is fun

So what to choose

When I’m on the run?

I take a deep breath

Deep with contentment

And do what’s before me…

Living in the minute.

One step at a time,

And a heart filled with joy

Because next week I’ll see

My two “little boys”.

I’ll cherish my memories

Of these two weeks with my friend

It just seems so quickly

Our time will come to an end.

But before it does

We have this day ahead

And we’ll fill it up

Before going to bed!
