A birthday poem for our son

My husband’s only begotten one.

A joy such as I’ve ever know

When I touched his flesh born from my own.

Tiny and helpless – such a wee babe;

Flesh of our flesh our union made.

What a miracle to hold in my arms

The beginning of new love that never fades.

And in the morn we celebrate his life,

Also shared with his children and wife.

But in my heart I’m once again

Living the ecstasy of birthing our son.

I thank You God for allowing him to live!

What a gift to us that You did give;

Our second child, our firstborn son,

And we thank You God for picking the exact right one!

Thank You God for the gift of life you allowed me to rear.

Thank You Father for providing just the right earthly father to be his parent.

Thank You Lord for all the joy our son has brought to our lives.

Thank You Lord for this beautiful Sabbath Sunday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON!  YOU ARE A GREAT JOY TO OUR LIVES!
