A KISS UPON MY FACE

Rain…a gift from heaven,

But sometimes we complain a bit.

It seems we either have too much

Or in a dry spell sit.

But oh the sound in early morn

Is beautiful to hear

As it waters ferns of lace

And hickory trees so near.

Earth’s aroma is like a song

As it floods the senses,

Speaking to the heart

Breaking down defenses.

I close my eyes to live the moment

Wrapped up in sound and space,

Tinkling drops of liquid gold…

A kiss upon my face.

 Thank You God for the gift of rain;

For the color green and sunshine.

Thank You Father that I am Yours

And thank You that You are mine.
