I PRAY THAT HEARTS ARE FILLED WITH SMILES

A day filled with anticipated delight

With color and sounds and stunning light.

Places to go, people to meet,

Lots to do and schedules to keep.

A fulfilling day now at its end

And my salutation to you I send.

In picture form I speak my words

In visual image my day is heard.

A morning stroll full of bouquets,

Morning ritual to see if plants are okay.

The Hostas were doing especially fine,

But annuals now have a fence line.

Shrubbery growing well and hardy

Decked in finery attending a perfect party.

But alas, the old oak next door

After today will be on earth’s floor.

And so much more happened on this day

And it felt as if it was fun and play.

It was the hour of the poets’ reception!

Unique were the poems without exception!

Young and old, wrote from their heart

And each winner read their art.

Watch for my poem written on a bus

For certainly mine will be a must!

All for fun I submitted my words,

And now they’ve a chance to be heard.

And as they are displayed across the miles

I pray that hearts are filled with smiles.

Thank You God for the opportunity to meet the people I met today.

Thank You God that my poem was one of the chosen.

Thank You for the iPhone camera!

GOD BLESS YOU!

I had chosen more photos to send but for some reason my iPhone refused to send them.  Please scroll down to view the photos below until you reach yesterday’s blog text.  I will try to send the additional photos tomorrow.  The photos will be above this blog instead of following the blog.

I placed my glasses on this leaf for size comparison.

7 June, 2017 22:32

Be sure and notice the different size of leaves color shape and detail. There are three different kinds of hosta in this picture.

7 June, 2017 22:28

I hope you enjoy the different colors and textures of each hosta.

7 June, 2017 22:22

My favorite hosta. It is called the patriot due to the whiteness of the trim on the leaves. It is very difficult to grow and I must pamper this one one each year to keep it going.

Do you from the upper patio looking down hill.

Looking up through the ferns through the dappled sunshine.

By the steps leading down to the lower Terrace.

A bouquet of hostas growing out my back door.

7 June, 2017 22:12

My caged annuals so that the deer or other critters will quit eating them.

A handmade, three dimensional piece of art hanging on a wall at the home of the place where I bought three bookshelves. Please enlarge the picture and see the small figures about the size of my thumb all handmade and hand-dressed. It was a beautiful piece of art.

An interesting car to say the least, in the parking lot of the grocery store.

On my way to the poetry reception.

Presenting my poem.

Tomorrow this old oak tree will be gone.

One last hug.
