Saturday May 27 2017  OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY

“Oh what a beautiful morning

Oh what a beautiful day!”

Famous lines from a song: and sometimes those two lines say it all!

OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING

A sunny morn from break of day

What a way to start and play.

Play for one may be work for another

Working for me is my druthers.

Puffy white clouds lingering by

It seems as if I could touch the sky.

Flowers blooming in regal stance,

Background of trees that seem to dance.

A doe loping across the expanse of lawn,

Though I did not see a buck or fawn.

In the garden a woodpecker breakfasted alone

And soon a hummingbird felt right at home.

A cardinal’s dive bomb was quite a fright,

I wasn’t expecting it in broad daylight.

And little squirrels skittering in constant motion

Flicking their tails with such commotion.

Detail of notes could not be distinguished

Amongst a myriad of bird-songs not extinguished.

Cacophony or harmony, both a musical treasure,

One from which I derive much pleasure.

How awesome has been this beautiful day

Watching the animals having fun at play!

I feel such a kinship with nature’s gracious gifts

And while outdoors my heart smiles and lifts.

And all I describe above is true to this beautiful Saturday.

Thank You God for the awesome sunshine today.

Thank You for all the rain that provided nutrients for our yard.

Thank You for the color green.

Thank You for the veterans who have served in our country to provide the freedom I have experienced today.

GOD BLESS YOU ON THIS BEAUTIFUL DAY.
