PERHAPS WE SHOULD ASK THIS QUESTION?

This day holds the hour

In which we are living.

In this precious moment

What makes life worth living?

Have we spoken one kind word

Another can tuck away?

Have we caused a smile

On someone’s face today?

Have we lifted another’s name

In prayer to our Father?

Or are we so busy

That with others we do not bother?

What is the purpose

For the existence of each man?

Is it to give or take,

Or do for others when you can?

Perhaps we should ask this question

Of ourselves each and every day;

What today can we do

So this world’s a better place to stay?
