WINTER’S MUSIC

Winter elite

In diamond wear,

Tree tops twinkle

In sunshine’s glare.

As if dipped

In liquid jewels

In opulent glory

Without rules.

Frozen solid

In magical light,

Stardust glitter

In sun’s delight.

Frozen limbs

Bow in weight

In pompous glee

Unknowing fate.

Glistening sparks

In icy cast

Wave in glory

Unyielding mask.

Unusual facets

In luminosity glow,

Flicker in sunbeams

Falling below.

And the sound,

Like a bubbling brook

While diamonds drop

As I look.

Sounds like music

To my soul.

Remembering the picture,

My heart’s goal.

In awe and wonder

Jewels let loose.

Transform to ice

As I peruse.

Limbs are freed

From heavy load

As diamonds of ice

Splatter the road.

A new experience

And it was so fine

To view first hand

What can’t be defined.

Open your eyes

So your heart can see

And open your ears,

God’s music is free.

A beauty so pure,

Musically refreshing.

Winter’s parting gift

To me such a blessing.

Oh what we see

When we take time!

God offers us daily

Such gifts divine.

Take time out in your day to experience the wonder and beauty of God’s gifts that surround you.

GOD BLESS YOU ON THIS SABBATH DAY OF REST!
