A bit of excitement

Lingers in the air

When I think of what’s coming up

And the getting here to there.

I’m ready to go exploring

The roads that lie ahead.

I have a purpose and a mission

To find a place to lay my head.

We’re leaving Wednesday morning

The classy old dame and me,

And just for a little while

Footloose and fancy free.

Our journey begins with my friend and I

But ends up in solitude.

A long drive awaits the pedal

Thank goodness for aptitude.

Another journey does begin

With a destination lingering,

And hopefully it will conclude,

Before I am withering.

Off to visit a dear friend,

And so thankful am I

That I can drive 1400 miles,

Because I do not like to fly.

Pray prayers for protection

As God with us abides.

And  ask that His angels

With us are allied.

Exhilaration and expectation

Are contained within my being

As I anticipate God’s beautiful gifts

That I will be seeing.

So much to see if we but look

With expectation in our hearts.

And I give thanks for everything

As this new journey I start.

Thank You God for Your provision for this trip.

Thank You God for the protection You provide.

Thank You that my friend is going part way with me.

Thank You Lord for continued healing for Lana’s body through her upcoming surgery.

Thank You God that Your spirit is with us wherever we go.

GOOD NIGHT AND GOD BLESS YOU.
