Friday January 20 2017 A DAY IN HISTORY

Friday January 20 2017  A DAY IN HISTORY

I’ll always remember today as a day in history.  I took a long awaited class to learn Light Room!  Oh, but before that I did watch Donald J. Trump’s inauguration.  So all in all, it will be looked back upon as a good day.  I’ll look back and remember that Donald Trump became president on the day of my class.

Right now I have a lot of other things on my mind.  The first being that I will be leaving on a trip this week, though my departure date is not yet determined.  My friend Lana who moved to a new location this past year will be facing major surgery and due to circumstances will not have a weekday care giver during her post surgery recovery.  She asked if she provided a round-trip airplane ticket if I would come for a week.  She lives in Corpus Christi Texas.

I do not like to fly.  I choose not to fly.  I would rather drive wherever I go.  I will go and help her.  And I will drive.  I figure if I could go on an 11,000 mile trip by myself I could surly drive 1,400 miles to Corpus Christi.  I have my maps and my routes, and my alternate routes if needed.  I must still set up reservations and pack for the journey.  Please remember me in your prayers as I head out this week.

WHEN WE LEAST EXPECT IT

When we least expect it

Our plans do often change,

And in the blink of an eye

Our plans seem out of range.

Thoughts and prayers are a must

In order to make decisions,

And when in unity with our Lord

Peace received through God’s precision.

And so I choose to drive.

My friend’s ticket will safely be

Waiting until she is well,

So she can come and visit me.

Lord, thank You for continued healing for Lana.

Thank You Lord that I have the availability to go.

Thank You Lord for your protection over me as I travel.

Thank You Lord for being with my friend during her long and difficult battle against cancer.

Thank You Lord for my health.

GOOD NIGHT AND GOD BLESS YOU.
