The wonder of Christmas

Is not just the day

That Jesus was born

On earth to stay.

 

His birth was amazing

Beyond scope of imagination.

Born of a virgin

To save the nations.

 

The greatest wonder

Was His commitment to live

So that in His death

Life He would give.

 

Through suffering and pain

He died on the cross

That man’s souls

Would no longer be lost.

 

His birth, but the beginning,

Knowing death He faced,

He was born willingly

To offer forgiveness and grace.

 

Christmas is not only

About what has been,

But about Christ’s gift of mercy

That frees us from sin.

 

Through His birth so long ago

Future forever changed,

He has given us promises

With a forever range.

 

He knocks at our heart’s door

And asks to come in.

And He promises salvation

And freedom from sin.

 

He offers mercy and grace,

Kinship for all time,

And a home in heaven

With the Devine.

 

The birthday of Jesus

Changed tomorrow’s forever.

Because His cross conquered death

And sin He severed.

 

And the greatest wonder of His birth

Is what is yet to come.

Through His love and forgiveness

We are God’s daughters and sons.

 

I hope you have enjoyed “A CHRISTMAS COLLECTION” written daily since December 1^st to celebrate the true story of the Birth of Christ.  And what is yet to come is even more amazing!  God’s amazing Word tells of many promises to yet be fulfilled.  Search the Word of God and you too will discover God’s amazing love and the promises He gives to His children.

 

I DO HOPE YOUR CHRISTMAS 2016 WILL BE A DAY YOU LOOK BACK ON WITH WONDER AND AMAZEMENT AS YOU BASK IN THE FULLNESS OF GOD’S LOVE, JOY, AND PEACE.

P.S.  As a Christmas gift to myself I will not be writing a blog until January 2, 2017.  It will be especially wonderful to give myself a break from my office.
