September 25 2016 SUNDAY SABBATH POEM
Sabbath Evening
Kathleen Martens
September 25, 2016
Evening hue of yellow-gold.
Whispering sound yet untold
The rush of wind through the leaves
Sounds like water if it breathed.
The hoot of an owl in melody sweet
Poignantly seeking it’s mate to meet.
And wispy rustling of dying flowers
Sing their song by the hour.
The distant humming sounds of life
In no way a cause for strife.
All is peaceful as night falls
I turn to God and on him call.
Silent songs well up inside
As I commune with He who abides
Within my heart each and every hour.
God is my strength and my strong tower.
GOOD NIGHT AND GOD BLESS YOU ON THIS SUNDAY SABBATH.
