Saturday April 16 2016  WHERE I AM

Quite a beautiful journey today as we traversed the highways of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  This day has also been full and long.  Before I even began my blog I was almost falling asleep.  So this blog will be in competition with the shortest blog ever.

COME AND GONE

Today we’ve gone a lot of places

And we’ve seen a lot of faces.

Climbed mountains of wonder

As from spring we sundered.

Higher elevation Spring lost its glory

Breadth of warmth not yet its story.

All new growth seemed to disappear

Though in lower elevation Spring was near.

As roads, descended our drive

We discovered that Spring had survived.

And now it seems summer is found

For around us heat abounds.

Tomorrow’s tale will take a while

As I share today’s full file.

Tonight is late and I’m falling asleep

So my stories will have to keep.

Too much to share on this late night of travel so I will once again bow out from writing my story.  I hope to do so tomorrow as we are staying at this Airbnb for two nights.  Tomorrow we hope to hoard a bit of rest.

Thank You God for bringing us safely to Wilmore Kentucky.

Thank You Lord that we are so pleasantly surprised by our accommodations.

Thank You for the generosity of Carole sending such a beautiful supply of food with us today.

Thank You Lord that You are God and that You love me so much.

THANK  YOU LORD THAT I AM WHERE I AM.

Thank you Lord for back scratchers.

Friday April 15 2016  ANOTHER LAST NIGHT

Our last evening with Carole and David.  No time for blogging if I want to be alive later!  I am sneaking even these words in while hiding in my bedroom (packing).  I had quite a bit of computer complications last night that affected some of my past blogs and I don’t want to have that happen again so I am being conservative with words tonight.  We had a spectacular day today.  Any day when I can take unending photos is always a good day.  More about my day tomorrow.

Early to bed, early to rise

Is what we must do to survive.

So this blog is SHORT AND SWEET

Until I again my computer meet.

Just three more days on the road

And then we can unpack our load.

And along the way I will write

Between watching the beautiful sights.

So good night my faithful friends

Who have been true to the end.

So many stories left unsaid

Left roaming around in my head.

Have a great day and God bless you too

And to God your thanks ensue,

Because He loves to hear your praise

As he blesses all your days.

Thank You God for allowing Dave and I to share in the lives of David and Carole.

Thank You God for Your Almighty Sovereignty.

Thank you God for bran muffins.
